Baltimore Boo Birds
Mark Teixeira's first visit to Baltimore brought out the Boo Birds.
They turned on a local boy who spurned them in the off-season to sign with their Division Rival New York Yankees.
Last time I checked the $150 million offer was $30 million less than the Yankees offered.
Did Oriole fans really expect a hometown discount of $30 Million Dollars for a Scott Boras client, who was clearly the best offensive player available in free agency?
When the weather heats up and the Yankees come back to town, he'll give you reason to boo.
I'm wondering if he would have gotten the same ovation had he signed with the Red Sox?

Brian Cashman Went To Bat For Mark Teixeira
It seems that Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman was the driving force that brought the New York Yankees their Portuguese First Baseman, Swooping in at the last minute to keep him away from the Boston Red Sox.
He considered Mark Teixeira "A Perfect Fit For The Yankees".
His final plea to the Yankee Brass went something like this...
"I know you're not interested, but they're going to get this guy. He's going to fall in their lap, and he's so perfect for us."

Kendry Morales Has Brick Hands!
Cuban defector Kendry Morales is the heir apparent at first base for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He recently admitted that he had "brick hands"
He's been working with Mike Scioscia and first base coach Alfredo Griffin on his fielding, but after enjoying great defensive first basemen Mark Teixeira and Casey Kotchman the past few seasons, they are in for a rude awakening.
After seeing Jason Giambi play first base after being spoiled by Don Mattingly and Tino Martinez, I feel for you Angels fans!

Teixeira's Money Is Safe!
Johnny Damon is due $13 million this year
Xavier Nady is due $6.55 million this year
Neither man is currently able to pay his bills!
Both players have Scott Boras as their agent, and have their financial assets monitored by "Personal Management Consultants" a division of the Scott Boras Corporation.
The Securities and Exchange Commission froze the assets of Stanford International Bank, Stanford Group Company. and Stanford Capital Management (managed by financier Robert Allen Stanford) as they investigate the Stanford Financial Group's $8 billion fraud scandal.
Damon and Nady apparently had investments with a Stanford Company, which is the reason their assets are now frozen.
Mark Teixeira, who's a Scott Boras client said he did not have money with Stanford.
Alex Rodriguez, also a Scott Boras client wasn't quite up to answering any questions... about anything!

Mark Teixeira To Bat Third?
Apparently New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi is in favor of having Mark Teixeira bat third this season, one spot ahead of Arod.
1-Johnny Damon
2-Derek Jeter
3-Mark Teixeira
4-Alex Rodriguez
What does this mean for Mark Teixeira?
>More At Bats
>More RBI Opportunities (Runs that Arod would have driven in if he was batting ahead of him)
>More Runs scored (Being Driven in by ARod)
>Better Pitches (with ARod up next, teams will not pitch around him)
